Oh - I've had fun creating with this one ! There are so many things you can use this semi sphere, flexible silicone bakeware mould for.
It's ideal for larger filled chocolates and truffles. I've recently copied a magazine cake and made a chocolate bubble mousse by making semi sphere chocolate shells to decorate the top of a mousse. Looked so impressive.
This mould is also a good size for canapes, ice cubes, pates de fruits and little mouthfuls of cake amongs other things.
Make 15 half round style cakes each time with these fantastic non stick silicone moulds. Equally also suited to bath ballistics and soaps
I've been using these to make mini snowballs. Snowballs are a treat commonly found in Scottish bakers. Basically two half round sponge cakes sandwiched with icing and jam, coated in icing and rolled in dessicated coconut. Yum yum ! These mini ones are basically two mouthfuls unless you have a very big gob ... Ideal to pop a couple of these in the kids lunch boxes or to serve as above alongside afternoon tea.
If you want to make full size snowballs, please look at our other listings for 6 half round moulds. Two of those stuck together are literally tennis ball sized.
Try pouring a two tone colour cake (and marbelising the two colours together with a skewer). Ideal for baking cakes, making jellies, pates, mousses - or even soaps !
